Summer Soccer Camp
The VUFC 2011 Summer Soccer Camp provided an exceptional opportunity for boys and girls ages 6 though 19 to work on their soccer skills under the guidance of top international players and coaches. The camp, which was held at Phoenix Country Day School from June 25 through 29, consisted of five sessions of 3 hours each, packed with skills training – shooting, passing, dribbling, receiving, specialized goalkeeping sessions – and Futsal games. The Camp was conducted by our coaching staff as well as our guest coaches Nenad "Ziggy" Zigante (famed goalkeeper coach of the 1994 US Men's National Team, University of San Diego, San Diego State University, Cornell University and currently Carolina Railhawks, the current A-League leaders), Dario Pot (assistant coach of De Graafschap Football Club of the Dutch Eredivisie) as well as our guest women's college coaches. We would like to thank all the participants as well as our guest coaches who made the players' experience even more special! Thank you and see you at the next Valparaiso event!
